Stefanie & Emilio

A dream wedding...a totaldream wedding.  Stefanie and Emilio's April wedding was MAGNIFICENT!!!  It was everything a bride could hope for and the kind of wedding every photographer loves to shoot.  I hadn't flown on a plane since my honeymoon, so I was so excited to go to LA!

While I was there I got to horseback ride around the Hollywood Sign, relax by the edge ofthe Pacific Ocean, eat great food, catch up with old friends, drive on some HUGE highways, stroll down Rodeo Drive and so much more!  Such a great time!

Stef and Emilio are truly, totally in love with one another and it is so sweet to witness their respect and admiration of each other.  I've known Stef since we were in Kindergarten.  She is smart, funny and so beautiful.  She is not one to settle and accept less than she deserves and I'm so glad.  Emilio is definitely THE ONE and I'm so happy for her!!!  Here are a few favorites from their big day!

I recently had the opportunity to come together with fellow wedding creatives for an amazing styled shoot at GHR Rental Boutique in Selinsgrove, PA.  If you have never seen GHR's stock of wedding décor, you HAVE to see it.  It's simply amazing to see all of the beautiful items Jennifer, the owner, has acquired.  If you're planning a wedding, this is a one stop shop for all the wedding décor you would possibly need.

It was really great to see how other vendors pull things together.  I never really get to see the behind the scenes work done by other wedding vendors, so this was an eye opening experience of how hard they work.

What a dream wedding!   This is definitely one of my most unique weddings and was set in one of the most beautiful spots in PA, Worlds End.  So, so beautiful.  It rained most of the day, but it didn't dampen the spirits of the bride and groom nor the guests.  Nature abound, bare feet, homegrown flowers, little goats...such a natural and down to Earth experience.  Please enjoy a few of my favorites from Brittany and Jonathan's Worlds End wedding.

Williamsport Wedding Photographer / Rebecca and Ian's Wedding

Wow!  What a great outdoor Pennsylvania wedding Rebecca and Ian had.  This couple is lucky enough to have an absolutely awesome family cabin in the Pennsylvania Wilds.  It was totally secluded and just the perfect place for them and all their friends and family to celebrate.

Rebecca and Ian have an adorable little boy and it was so cute to see him coming down the aisle in his little suit!  It's been about 6 months since the wedding, but I can still picture the day so vividly.  I enjoyed every minute of watching Rebecca and Ian become husband and wife.  One of my favorite parts of the day was riding around on a Gator to visit different areas of the property.  I really need to get myself about 200 acres of land and a little vehicle to explore it with.  Seriously so much fun!

Rebecca's choice of color palette for the wedding was delicate and feminine and perfect for a September wedding.

We finished the night with a shot under the Milky Way you have to check out at the end of this post!

Please enjoy a few of my favorites from the day.

WHAT NOT TO DO ON YOUR WEDDING DAY

So, you're in the wedding planning process and obviously want to have the best wedding ever.  What can you do to ensure that the day goes as smoothly as possible?  Here are my 3 best tips on what NOT to do  to help your day go as planned!

#1 Wear a Dress that Requires Tape or Pins to Stay in Place
This is a huge, huge mistake that you don't want to make.  Virtually every wedding dress I've seen that requires something to hold it in place ends up being very , VERY bothersome.  Pins pop and the garment tape never holds.  You might make it through the ceremony with everything intact, but as soon as you hit the dance floor or sweat, the dress starts falling out of place.  Then, you might spend the whole evening hiking up your dress.  It's not fun and it's not flattering.  I highly encourage brides to choose a dress that fits like a glove even before alterations.

#2 Decorate the Reception Space the Day of the Wedding
Trying to do too much on the day of the wedding often results in a worn out bride that can't fully enjoy the day.  If at all possible, set up EVERYTHING before the wedding day, preferably by Thursday so you can just enjoy yourself on Friday and Saturday.  Some venues are better than others at letting you have access to the site the week of the wedding.  When booking a venue, definitely take that into consideration.  Also, don't be too proud to ask for help.  The skill of delegation is essential for a bride!

#3 Pay More Attention to Wedding Day Details than the Actual Marriage
If there is one single solitary piece of advice I have for brides, it is to fully immerse themselves in the ceremony.  Really make the actual process of becoming a married couple something to remember.  Writing your own vows, sharing love letters or incorporating unique touches to the ceremony itself are all great ways to really immerse yourself in the marriage experience.  While it's normal to want all the décor and the ambience to be perfect for your day, focus on what really matters...each other!
